Job summary

Hartalega NGC Sdn Bhd is seeking a seasoned production planning leader to align forecasts, capacity, and inventory across multiple lines to ensure on-time delivery and sustainable performance.

You will drive excellence by integrating production schedules with maintenance, procurement, and manpower plans, lead continuous improvement, and support new product introductions to strengthen competitiveness. This role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5–7 years in a managerial production-planning role.

Responsibilities

• Formulate mid- to long-term production strategies balancing demand, capacity, and inventories.
• Direct and approve daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
• Lead cross-functional coordination with Maintenance, Procurement, Quality, and Engineering.
• Oversee changeover strategies and resource allocation across lines.
• Define and monitor production KPIs to identify risks and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Establish policies for manpower forecasting and deployment.
• Provide leadership in OTP and NI4 integration of new materials/products.
• Champion best practices in production planning and inventory management.
• Review training frameworks, SOPs, and compliance alignment.
• Represent Production Planning in management reviews and budget discussions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• 1.Formulate mid- to long-term production strategies that balance demand forecasts, capacity constraints, and inventory targets at the plant or regional level.
• 2. Direct and approve daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules developed by planners, ensuring alignment with businessobjectivesand delivery commitments.
• 3. Lead cross-functional coordination with Maintenance, Procurement, Quality, and Engineering to synchronize production, material flow, and equipment availability.
• 4. Oversee product and former changeover strategies,optimizingresource allocation and downtime management across lines.
• 5. Define andmonitorproduction KPIs,analyzingperformance trends toidentifyrisks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for cost reduction.
• 6. Establish policies and frameworks formanpowerforecasting, deployment, and skill development to ensure operational readiness.
• 7. Provide leadership in Operational Trial Planning (OTP) and New Introduction Readiness (NI4), ensuring smooth integration of new materials and products into mass production.
• 8. Champion best practices in production planning, changeover optimization, and inventory management to drive standardization across operations.
• 9. Review and approve training frameworks, manuals, and SOPs for production planning and execution, ensuring alignment with compliance and audit standards.
• 10. Represent the Production Planning function in management reviews, budget discussions, and strategic decision‑making forums.

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in any related field (Master’s Degree or professional certification is an added advantage)

Work Experience:

• Minimum 3 to 5 years as an Assistant Manager
• Minimum 5 to 7 years in a Managerial role, preferably overseeing multiple teams or functions
