The Mechanical and Electrical Manager plays a pivotal role within our property development team, responsible for overseeing the design, installation, and maintenance of all mechanical and electrical systems within our property projects. The role ensures that these systems meet quality standards, are cost-effective, and align with the company's sustainability goals.
Responsibilities:
1. Conceptual Design:
- Assist in the development proposal and detailed feasibility study for Mechanical and Electrical services for various property development projects.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of M&E systems into overall property designs.
2. Spatial Coordination & Technical Design:
- Review and approve M&E system designs, ensuring compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and project specifications.
- Provide technical expertise during the design phase, optimizing systems for efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop standardization in M&E specifications, design, and material.
3. Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Manage budgets for M&E services accommodating feasibility study and cost plan.
- Liaise with consultants on cost-benefit analyses to evaluate different system options and recommend optimal solutions.
4. Consultant Management:
- Monitor consultants’ performance, ensuring adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and budgetary constraints.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in mechanical and electrical project management within the property development or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to M&E systems.
- Proficiency in project management software, CAD tools, and other relevant technical applications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work effectively under pressure.
