Job summary

ZUS COFFEE in Malaysia seeks a seasoned Interior/Design Lead to steer the creative direction of our physical retail environments. You will translate brand identity into themed stores, concepts, and outlet executions that are commercially viable.

You will manage design development from concept to construction, ensure consistency across locations, balance aesthetics with feasibility and budget, and collaborate with Brands, Retail Operations, Supply Chain and Procurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Industrial Design or related field.
• Minimum 6–10 years of relevant design experience, preferably with F&B, retail, hospitality or commercial projects.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or equivalent.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop creative concepts, mood boards, design narratives and visual directions for existing design, ad hoc projects or new themed store if required.
• Ensure design concepts are innovative, distinctive and aligned with ZUS COFFEE's brand identity.
• Review and guide design development from concept stage through to final execution.
• Ensure consistency of design language across different outlet formats and locations.
• Balance creativity with functionality, construction feasibility, budget and operational requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and outsource designers.
• Work closely with Brands, Retail Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement and other stakeholders.
• Ensure timely completion of design projects.
• Review shop drawings, material samples, mock-ups, prototypes and site implementation where required.
• Identify new materials, finishes, fabrication techniques and design technologies that can enhance ZUS COFFEE outlets.
