Job summary

MIRAI MANAGEMENT SERVICES SDN BHD in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced auditor to manage assignments from planning to completion. You will review working papers and financial statements for compliance with MFRS/IFRS, MPERS, and auditing standards; mentor junior staff; and communicate with clients to address issues.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in accounting or finance, has 4–7 years of audit experience, and can work independently with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of MFRS/IFRS, MPERS and auditing standards.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise audit assignments from planning to completion.
• Review working papers, financial statements and reports for compliance.
• Ensure deadlines are met and liaise with clients on audit matters.
• Identify issues and discuss solutions with clients.
• Review the work of the audit team and ensure standards.
• Assist the Audit Partner in client portfolios and other tasks.
• Ad-hoc assignments as required.

Key responsibilities

• Review audit working papers, financial statements, and reports to ensure compliance with MFRS/IFRS, MPERS, and relevant auditing standards
• Ensure audit assignments are completed within the required deadlines
• Communicate and liaise with clients on audit matters
• Identify accounting and audit issues and discuss solutions with clients
• Review the work performed by the audit team
• Ensure compliance with applicable auditing and accounting standards
• Assist the Audit Partner in managing client portfolios and other assignments
• Ad-hoc assignments when required

About you

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
• Strong technical knowledge of MFRS/IFRS, MPERS, and relevant auditing standards
• At least 4 - 7 years of audit experience
• Good knowledge of auditing and accounting standards
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently and manage multiple assignments
• Responsible, organised and willing to learn
