Job summary

TGS TW PLT in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Audit Manager who thrives in a leadership role, focusing on developing the team and building strong client relationships. You will be trusted to lead and influence audit engagements across diverse industries while staying updated on evolving accounting standards and regulatory changes.

You will travel for engagements and collaborate with partners to resolve complex issues, reviewing workpapers and financial statements for accuracy and completeness.

Qualifications

• Professional Certificate or Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Banking.
• ACCA/MIA/MICPA/ICAEW or equivalent membership.
• 3–5 years of audit experience in a professional accounting practice.
• Knowledgeable in CCH/Inflo System.
• Audit experience in well-established professional services firms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform audit assignments for clients across industries.
• Stay updated with accounting standards and regulatory changes; ensure compliance.
• Communicate professionally within team and with external parties to gather information and make recommendations.
• Travel to different states within and outside Malaysia for audit engagements.
• Collaborate with audit partners and managers to resolve technical accounting issues.
• Lead and manage a team of Audit Associates.
• Review audit workpapers and financial statements for accuracy.
• Perform ad-hoc duties (due diligence, IPO-related tasks) as required.

Job Descriptions

• Perform audit assignments for clients ranging from various industries.
• Keep updated of changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, and ensure compliance with relevant requirements.
• Communicating professionally within the team and with external parties to gather information, resolve problems and make recommendations for business and process improvements.
• Travel to different states within and outside Malaysia for audit engagements.
• Collaborate with audit partners and managers to resolve technical accounting and auditing issues as they arise.
• Lead and manage a team of Audit Associate.
• Review audit workpapers, financial statements, and other documentation prepared by team members for accuracy and completeness.
• Perform ad-hoc duties (financial due diligence, Initial Public Offerings corporate exercise and etc.), as necessary.

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Professional Certificate, Bachelor7s Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma/ Professional Degree in Finance/ Accountancy/ Banking.
• A member of ACCA/ MIA/ MICPA/ ICAEW or equivalent.
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience gained in a professional accounting practice.
• Knowledgeable and experience on CCH/ Inflo System
• Audit experience in well-established professional services firms will be a given preference.
