AIA Digital+ is seeking a seasoned IT Application Manager to drive delivery, enhancement, and operational excellence of mobile platforms. You will own the mobile app roadmap, ensure secure and scalable architectures, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet strategic objectives.

You will oversee development, releases, and production support, while guiding vendor teams and internal staff to improve stability, performance and user experience across digital channels.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT from an accredited institution; Master's degree preferred.
• 8-10 years of IT application development experience, with 6-8 years in supervisory roles.
• Experience executing IT projects with high level of expertise in system applications and technology implementation.

About the Role

To assist the (Senior) Application Manager in driving the delivery, enhancement, and operational excellence of digital mobile platforms in alignment with ISS and business strategies.

He/She is responsible for managing the mobile application portfolio, technology roadmap, and application lifecycle management for customer and business-facing mobile solutions. Acts as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for mobile technologies and application architecture, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, reliable, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards while delivering an optimal digital customer experience.

Roles and Responsibilities:

IT Application Management

• Lead and manage the delivery of mobile application initiatives, enhancements, and production support activities.
• Own the mobile application roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives and digital transformation strategies.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, vendors, architects, infrastructure, and security teams to deliver solutions within agreed timelines and budgets.
• Govern application lifecycle management, ensuring compliance with SDLC, security, architecture, and quality standards.
• Monitor application performance, availability, and service levels, ensuring timely resolution of production incidents and operational issues.
• Oversee mobile application releases, deployment planning, and post-implementation support activities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance application stability, customer experience, and operational efficiency.

Resource & Team Management

• Manage and optimize internal resources and vendor teams to support project delivery and operational objectives.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and technical guidance to team members.
• Ensure effective workload planning and resource utilization across multiple initiatives.
• Monitor vendor performance, delivery quality, and adherence to contractual and service commitments.
• Foster collaboration among cross-functional teams including Business, Infrastructure, Security, Architecture, and Operations.
• Support talent development, knowledge sharing, and succession planning within the team.

Solution Design & Architecture

• Accountable for the technical design and architecture of mobile application solutions.
• Ensure business requirements are translated into scalable, secure, maintainable, and high-performing mobile solutions.
• Review and approve technical solution designs proposed by internal teams and vendors.
• Ensure mobile platforms are aligned with enterprise architecture, integration, and security standards.
• Lead technical discussions and provide consultancy on mobile technologies, API integrations, authentication mechanisms, and digital capabilities.
• Act as the technical lead for large-scale digital initiatives and mobile transformation programs.

Development / Application Delivery & Release Management

• Govern end-to-end delivery of mobile application enhancements and releases.
• Oversee SIT, UAT, security testing, performance testing, and production deployment readiness.
• Coordinate release planning and implementation activities across multiple stakeholders.
• Ensure risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests are properly assessed and managed.
• Support production deployments and key release activities during critical implementation.

Production Support & Continuous Improvement

• Serve as the escalation point for major production incidents affecting mobile applications.
• Drive root cause analysis and implementation of preventive measures.
• Monitor application's health, crash analytics, performance metrics, and customer feedback.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve application reliability, performance, and user experience.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, audit, and operational requirements.
