As we expand into new international markets, we’re looking for talented, driven individuals to join us on this exciting journey. This is more than a job — it’s an opportunity to be a key contributor to our dynamic team and help shape the future of global data infrastructure. If you're passionate about innovation, technology, and growth, we invite you to be part of DayOne’s next chapter.

Role Purpose

The Assistant Manager, Finance Process Excellence is responsible for driving continuous improvement, standardization, automation, governance, and operational excellence across the Finance organization. The role partners with finance leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to simplify processes, strengthen controls, improve efficiency, enhance user experience, and support the scalability of the Finance function as the business grows. The position leads process improvement initiatives, establishes process governance and ownership, develops process documentation and training programs, implements performance metrics, supports system and digital transformation projects, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement throughout Finance.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Process Excellence and Transformation Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the Finance function, without limiting the scope to specific finance process streams. Identify process inefficiencies, risks, bottlenecks, control gaps, and opportunities for simplification and standardization. Assess current-state processes and design scalable, efficient, and sustainable future-state processes. Build, maintain, and support execution of the Finance Process Excellence roadmap. Lead cross-functional initiatives that improve end-to-end outcomes involving Finance and its business partners. Promote practical problem-solving and a continuous improvement mindset throughout Finance.
  2. Process Governance and Ownership Establish and maintain a consistent process governance framework across Finance. Define process ownership, roles, responsibilities, decision rights, and escalation paths. Facilitate periodic process reviews, maturity assessments, and process health checks. Support process owners in establishing appropriate controls, service expectations, and performance measures. Drive harmonization of finance processes across entities and regions while recognizing legitimate local requirements.
  3. Policies, SOPs and Knowledge Management Develop and maintain finance policies, standard operating procedures, process maps, work instructions, RACI matrices, and control documentation. Establish and manage a centralized, accessible finance process and knowledge repository. Coordinate periodic reviews to ensure documentation remains current, clear, consistent, and audit-ready. Improve onboarding materials and knowledge transfer for new entities, new team members, and users of finance processes.
  4. Automation and Digital Enablement Identify, assess, and prioritize opportunities for workflow improvement, system enhancement, automation, analytics, and digital enablement. Partner with Finance, IT, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into practical solutions. Support finance system implementations, enhancements, testing, deployment, and post-implementation stabilization. Prepare business cases, define expected benefits, and monitor the realization and sustainability of improvements. Encourage solutions that reduce manual effort while maintaining appropriate control, security, and accountability.
  5. Performance Monitoring and Analytics Develop relevant process KPIs, dashboards, scorecards, and reporting routines. Establish baseline performance, monitor trends, and identify exceptions requiring corrective action. Provide clear insights to management on process effectiveness, maturity, risks, and improvement priorities. Track project outcomes such as cycle-time improvements, reduction in manual work, error reduction, user experience, and control effectiveness.
  6. Internal Controls and Compliance Embed proportionate preventive and detective controls within finance processes and system workflows. Partner with control owners, Internal Audit, external auditors, and relevant stakeholders to address process-related findings and risks. Monitor remediation actions and support sustainable closure of control gaps. Promote disciplined execution, clear evidence retention, and compliance with applicable finance policies and requirements.
  7. Training, Change and Stakeholder Management Develop and deliver process training, onboarding programs, user guidance, and refresher sessions. Prepare change impact assessments, communications, and adoption plans for new processes and systems. Facilitate workshops and working sessions with stakeholders across functions, entities, and regions. Build trusted relationships, influence without direct authority, and constructively challenge existing ways of working. Gather user feedback and incorporate lessons learned into future improvements.
  8. Project and Portfolio Management Lead process excellence initiatives from problem definition through design, implementation, benefit tracking, and handover to process owners. Maintain project plans, priorities, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, and action logs. Coordinate multiple initiatives while balancing urgency, business impact, risk, and available resources. Prepare concise management updates, recommendations, and decision papers for leadership review.
