Job summary

Safeguards Secure Solution Sdn Bhd is seeking an Assistant Audit Manager to oversee audit compliance, cash control monitoring, reconciliation activities and reporting across branches.

Qualifications

Job description

To oversee audit compliance, cash control monitoring, reconciliation activities, reporting, and operational reviews across branches. The role ensures adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and operational procedures while supporting continuous improvement and risk management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct branch visits, compliance reviews, and cash control checks to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.

Review audit findings, compliance reports, and reconciliation reports, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of issues.

Investigate and reconcile cash discrepancies, including unknown or excess cash, and prepare the necessary reports and memorandums.

Coordinate with auditors, branch management, and relevant stakeholders to address audit findings and implement corrective actions.

Monitor the completion of audit assignments and compliance activities to ensure timely execution.

Prepare, review, and issue compliance, cash count, reconciliation, and management reports.

Analyze recurring issues and compliance gaps, and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive measures.

Organize and facilitate meetings related to compliance, cash management, audit findings, and operational matters.

Manage bank confirmation exercises and ensure timely completion of regulatory and internal reporting requirements.

Provide guidance, training, and support to auditors and operational staff on SOPs, compliance requirements, and control procedures.

Compile and maintain records, summaries, and management information related to audit, compliance, and cash operations.

Support operational risk management initiatives and promote a strong compliance culture across the organization.

Perform ad hoc duties, projects, and assignments as directed by Management.

Knowledge of audit, compliance, and cash management controls.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good report writing and communication skills.

Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Stakeholder management and team coordination skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
