Job summary

CACEIS Malaysia, a cornerstone of asset servicing since 2008, invites an experienced professional to lead Private Equity & Real Estate Solutions Fund Accounting. You will ensure accurate, timely processing, coach senior teams, and uphold service levels across a global client base within a 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Malaysia time window.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting or Finance is required or equivalent.
• ACCA/CPA/CA or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
• Experience with IFRS/US GAAP and fund accounting is essential.
• Automation scripting (VBA, Python) is an added plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day PERES Fund Accounting activities to ensure timely and accurate execution.
• Coach GG10 & GG12 and maintain SLA compliance.
• Perform quality checks and second-level validation of team output.
• Monitor deadlines and escalate issues to stakeholders and clients.
• Serve as escalation point for fund accounting oversight and complex processes.
• Provide regular feedback and coaching to improve performance and address issues.

What will you do?

Production and Supervision

• Oversee and support day to day work of Private Equity & Real Estate Solutions (PERES) Fund Accounting ensuring accurately and timely execution of agreed process and execute complex fund accounting activities.
• Adhere to key service level agreements and support coaching to GG10 & GG12.
• Perform quality checks or second level validation on output from the team.
• All deadlines need to be monitored & any issues escalated & communicated appropriately to stakeholders & clients.
• Ensure that escalation protocol to Management is strictly adhered to in case of operational issues and events.
• Act as escalation point for the Fund Accounting oversight, execution of complex process and control functions, ensure high quality of allocated deliverables and providing backup relief to for staff and deal with escalated issues/queries.
• Monitor individual and team performance, providing regular feedback and coaching to address performance issue and encourage development.
• Identify and address obstacle or challenges that may impede team progress or performance.
• Maintain effective process controls and procedures are documented, maintained and adhere to.
• Mitigate the risk of errors by suggesting appropriate controls and enhancing procedures.
• Maintain comprehensive records for future reference and audit purposes.
