Job summary

RGE is seeking a Finance professional to lead FP&A and financial controlling activities for month-end closing, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering with Marketing and Commercial teams.

You will perform profitability analyses by channel and customer, support budgeting processes, and improve processes for efficiency and accuracy in a dynamic FMCG environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2–4 years of FP&A, Commercial Finance, Financial Controlling, or Management Reporting experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiar with Oracle/SQL systems.

Responsibilities

• Handle month-end closing activities and detailed COGS review.
• Prepare monthly logistics cost accruals and reporting with commentary.
• Create monthly management P&L by customer/SKU and reconcile with Trial Balance/SEA reports.
• Produce monthly profitability analysis by trade channel and segment; address stakeholder queries.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting; support SQL-based budget uploads and consolidation.

Responsibilities

Responsible for financial controlling activities related to month-end closing, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering functions, ensuring accurate financial analysis, profitability monitoring, and effective support to business operations.

Month End Closing, Reporting & Performance Analysis

• Perform month-end closing activities including reconciliations, COGS reclassification, and detailed review of COGS GL transactions.
• Prepare monthly logistics cost accruals and ensure completeness and accuracy of reporting.
• Prepare monthly logistics cost reports with commentary to warehouse and logistics teams, highlighting significant deviations against Budget/Forecast.
• Prepare monthly management P&L by allocating expenses to customer and SKU level and reconcile management P&L with Trial Balance and SEA reports.
• Prepare monthly profitability analysis by trade channel, customer, SKU, and other business segments, and respond to queries from stakeholders and SEA team.
• Review monthly Sales and Marketing actual and estimated spending against Budget Plan and Forecast.
• Assist Manager in analyzing monthly profitability variances including sales, trade spend, gross profit, and operating expenses.
• Identify and continuously improve month-end closing and reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Assist the FP&A Manager in setting up, managing, and maintaining budgeting templates and budget preparation activities.
• Perform budget roll-down and upload approved commercial budgets into SQL systems.
• Consolidation of the SEA budget for submission to the Group Reporting.
• Prepare and monitor logistics cost budgeting and forecasting.

Business Partnering with Marketing & Commercial Team

• Finance Analysis - Support the calculation of feasibility study on Commercial initiatives; includes Marketing and Sales promotion activities, Pricing Review, New products/Product Upgrade, transportation model (effects on logistic cost) and etc.
• Financial Measurement - Support with commercial team on post-event evaluation. Identify and continually seek improvements in business processes to maximize promotion efficiency and increase profitability.

Others

• Conduct periodic financial education and sharing sessions with Marketing and Commercial teams.
• Manage staff purchase pricing setup and support staff purchase committee/process administration.
• Provide business support for commercial projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned.

To be successful in this role, it is recommended that you should have the following skills and qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 2 to 4 years of relevant working experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, Financial Controlling, or Management Reporting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with Oracle/SQL systems.
• Experience in FMCG or commercial finance environment will be an added advantage.
