Snapshot of the role

We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Veterinary Assistant to support our Farm Veterinary Doctor in managing the health and welfare of poultry across our farms. This role plays a key part in ensuring proper flock health management, biosecurity compliance, and smooth execution of veterinary protocols within our integrated poultry farming operations.

• Assist the Veterinary Doctor in day‑to‑day veterinary tasks, flock health monitoring, and disease prevention programmes.
• Conduct routine farm visits to monitor bird performance, mortality trends, feed consumption, and environmental conditions.
• Collect samples (e.g., faecal, blood, swabs) for laboratory testing and assist in diagnostic procedures.
• Assist in administering vaccines, medications, and other treatments under the guidance of the Veterinary Doctor.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of flock health, treatments, vaccinations, and farm reports.
• Support the implementation of biosecurity measures, animal welfare standards, and farm SOPs.
• Provide technical support to farm teams during disease outbreaks, audits, and inspections.
• Assist in training farm employees on basic animal health, vaccination techniques, and biosecurity compliance.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Cert / Diploma / Degree in Animal Husbandry, Animal Science, agriculture related discipline.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; relevant internship or farm experience is an advantage.
• Keen interest in poultry health, animal husbandry practices, and farm operations.
• Willing to work in farm environments.
• Possesses own vehicle to travel between farm locations as required.
• Strong observation skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow technical procedures.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work closely with farm teams and the Veterinary Doctor.
