Job summary

A construction firm in Petaling Jaya is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to coordinate tendering processes and prepare cost estimations. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of relevant experience along with a degree in Quantity Surveying. Proficient knowledge of construction methods and materials is essential, as well as fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of related working experience.
• Good knowledge of cost estimation and tendering.
• Ability to analyze budgets and cost studies.

Responsibilities

• Participate in tendering for new projects.
• Prepare Tender Documents including BQ and cost estimation.
• Evaluate tenders from contractors/sub-contractors.

Skills

Knowledge of construction methods and materials

Fluent in English

Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia

Diploma/Advanced Diploma/Bachelor Degree in Quantity Survey

Job description

Responsibility

• To participate in tendering for new projects.
• Responsible in taking off quantities and calling for quotations.
• Prepare Tender Documents including BQ and cost estimation.
• Review and analyse cost studies and budget.
• Evaluate tenders from contractors/sub-contractors.
• Appointment of contractors/sub-contractors and prepare letter of award.
• Carry out other job assignments as and when required by the immediate superior
• Ad-hoc assigned by management.
  
  

Job Requirement

• Candidate should possess a Diploma / Advanced Diploma, Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Quantity Survey
• Preferably at least 6 years of related working experience.
• Good knowledge of construction methods and materials.
• Required language(s): English and Bahasa Malaysia
