A mining company based in Kuala Lipis is seeking an experienced Asset Manager to lead asset management activities, ensure compliance with Malaysian regulatory frameworks, and maintain accurate asset records. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of relevant experience, particularly in asset transitions and audit processes. Proficiency with ERP platforms and strong understanding of tagging standards are essential requirements for this role.
Lead scheduled and ad hoc asset counts across operational and remote sites
Reconcile physical inventory with CMMS and ERP records, resolving variances with documented logic
Maintain master asset registers with validated counts, classification codes, and lifecycle status
Define and enforce tagging standards: format, placement, material durability, and barcode/RFID protocols
Oversee re-tagging workflows for damaged, relocated, or reclassified assets
Maintain centralized tag registry linked to CMMS and ERP systems for traceability and audit readiness
Ensure tag visibility and scanability for walkthroughs, maintenance, and inspections
Govern asset transitions: acquisition, commissioning, transfer, impairment, and disposal
Align classification logic with MFRS, ARO, and internal control frameworks
Monitor lifecycle status changes and operational triggers across CMMS and ERP platforms
Oversee CMMS configuration, data integrity, and preventive maintenance scheduling
Align CMMS workflows with SOP annexes, audit documentation, and lifecycle governance protocols
Train site teams on CMMS usage, asset tagging standards, and maintenance logic
📋 Audit & Compliance
Prepare flowcharts, reconciliation logs, and lifecycle documentation for audit walkthroughs
Respond to internal and external audit queries with empirical evidence and defensible records
Ensure compliance with Malaysian regulatory frameworks including Unclaimed Moneys Act and MFRS standards
Collaborate with Finance, IT, Engineering, and Procurement to align asset governance with strategic priorities
Present dashboards, SmartArt visuals, and lifecycle risk maps to executive and audit stakeholders
Lead site walkthroughs and governance briefings to ensure operational accuracy and audit readiness
Expertise in physical verification, reconciliation logic, and audit
Deep understanding of tagging standards, traceability, and re-tagging
Proficiency in asset transitions, classification, and disposal workflows
Experience with Maximo, SAP PM, or equivalent platforms
Ability to produce defensible records, flowcharts, and SOP annexes
Familiarity with MFRS, ARO, and Malaysian compliance frameworks
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related field
1-3 years of experience in asset management, CMMS governance, or finance operations
Proven experience conducting asset counts, tag audits, and reconciliations across multiple sites
Proficiency in ERP and CMMS platforms (SAP, Oracle, Maximo, etc.)
Exposure to audit cycles and regulatory reporting preferred
