Job summary

CPA Australia is seeking six Assessment Specialists - Admissions to join the Kuala Lumpur team on a fixed-term contract. You will assess membership applications, review qualifications, and determine eligibility across multiple admission pathways.

Reporting to the Team Leader, Admissions, you will verify documents, ensure compliance, and produce concise assessment outcomes while delivering a positive applicant experience in a fast-paced environment.

  • Produce accurate, concise assessment outcomes with timely delivery.
  • Maintain applicant records in internal systems and CRM platforms.

At CPA Australia, we're passionate about supporting aspiring accounting professionals on their journey to membership. We're currently looking for six Assessment Specialists - Admissions to join our Admissions team in Kuala Lumpur on a fixed-term contract.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience in higher education admissions, qualification assessment, student services, migration assessment, professional membership organisations, or credential evaluation who enjoys working in a structured, compliance-driven environment.

The Role

Reporting to the Team Leader, Admissions, you will be responsible for assessing membership applications across multiple admission pathways. You'll review academic qualifications, professional memberships, and work experience submissions to determine eligibility for CPA Australia membership.

This is a high-volume assessment role requiring strong analytical thinking, sound judgement, excellent written communication skills, and a commitment to accuracy and quality.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Assess membership applications against CPA Australia admission policies and eligibility requirements
  • Evaluate accredited and non-accredited academic qualifications from institutions around the world
  • Review employment history and experience-based pathway applications
  • Verify supporting documentation, identify inconsistencies, and support fraud detection processes
  • Research educational institutions, qualification frameworks, and professional bodies
  • Produce accurate, concise, and timely written assessment outcomes
  • Maintain accurate applicant records and data within internal systems and CRM platforms
  • Respond to complex application enquiries and escalated cases
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional applicant experiences
About You

You are someone who enjoys applying policies and guidelines consistently while maintaining a strong customer focus. You have excellent attention to detail and are comfortable making evidence-based decisions in a structured environment.

To be successful, you'll bring:
  • Experience in admissions, credential evaluation, qualification assessment, student administration, migration assessment, or a similar compliance-focused role
  • Strong understanding of higher education qualifications and assessment frameworks
  • Experience reviewing and validating official documentation from applicants
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage high volumes of work while maintaining accuracy
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and research
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
Highly Regarded
  • Experience within an educational institution, professional body, accounting organisation, or migration sector
  • Knowledge of international qualifications and recognition frameworks
  • Familiarity with accounting, business, commerce, or related tertiary programs
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Accounting or a related discipline
