Job summary

UWC Holdings Sdn Bhd is seeking a production supervisor to lead a manufacturing section. You will monitor targets, coordinate daily material flow and oversee safety in the workplace while driving efficiency and TPM participation.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical/mechatronic certificate with 2–3 years of supervisory experience and strong leadership and communication skills for a fast-paced environment requiring shift coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree not required; minimum certificate in Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering.
• 2–3 years related working experience in manufacturing.
• 2–3 years supervisory or section-head experience leading production operators.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production teams and monitor section targets.
• Plan daily activities and report subordinates' work target and achievements.
• Ensure quality, accuracy and timely readiness of goods produced.

Job description

Report to Assembly Manager or his assigned.

Support data collection for performance Improvement.

Shall monitor of individual section rejection rate and maintain to achieve quality policy.

Work towards reduction of waste material and setup time.

Shall monitor production target for individual section.

Support TPM Program and ensures subordinate work towards reducing down time.

Support process improvement towards efficiency and skill upgrading of subordinates.

Ensure quality, accuracy and timely readiness of goods produced.

Daily planning and report for subordinates work target and achievement.

Monitoring individual section to maintain good house keeping.

Ensure production measuring equipment are calibrated and maintain a good condition.

Present weekly individual section yield report to Assembly Manager.

Responsible for subordinates safety and safe process in work place.

Coordinate daily material flow to ensure smooth operation of UWC's commitment.

Liaise with quality Department for quick turn around of work in progress for clearance.

Provide training and motivation to subordinate.

Maintain consistent application of company policies, procedures and shop floor rules.

Job Qualification

Minimum certificate on Mechanical Engineer/ Mechatronic Engineering.

Minimum 2-3 years relater working experience.

At least 2–3 years of supervisory or section head experience leading production operators and line leaders.

Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and support shift or extended working hours when required.
