Lam Research Corporation in Malaysia is seeking a hands-on assembler for mechanical assembly of WFE hardware. The role requires adapting to priorities, ensuring correct part delivery, and performing visual inspections.

Training across multiple centers and contributing to continuous improvement are expected. The candidate should have 2–6 years of mechanical assembly experience, an associate degree or diploma in engineering, and strong English communication skills.

• Distinguish various wires by color, size, thickness, markings, etc.
• Experience in manufacturing or semiconductor capital equipment is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Assemble and install parts/hardware for WFE using instructions, schematics, hand tools, equipment and fixtures.
• Contribute to audits via visual inspections, checklists and leak checks as needed.
• Cross-train in multiple work centers and train other assemblers on job functions.
• Escalate Non-Conformance Items to engineering when needed.
• Support a safe work environment through PPE, LOTO, safety practices and procedures.
• Provide timely communication to stakeholders on production status, tasks, signoffs and shift handoffs.

Effectively use instructions and schematics, hand tools, equipment, and fixtures to assemble and install parts/hardware for WFE. Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness to changing priorities, including rework requirements to maintain workflow and production schedules. Ensure correct part delivery and perform visual inspection of components before installation. Contribute to audits by conducting visual inspections, verifying checklists, and performing leak checks as needed. Cross-train in multiple work centers (e.g., Final Assembly, Sub Assembly, Feeder Bay, Preship, NPI). Train other assemblers on specific job functions and role modeling continuous improvement behaviors. Identify and document Non-Conformance Items (NCIs), escalating to engineering as needed. Support a safe work environment by following safe work practices, adhering to safety guidelines, utilizing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and following Lockout Tagout (LOTO) policies and procedures. Provide timely clear communication to stakeholders including production status, tasks completed, signoffs, detailed descriptions, continuous improvement ideas, and shift pass downs.

2-6 Years of mechanical or related assembly experience.

Associates Degree, Technical Certificate, or Diploma in Engineering or related field.

Effective communication skills, written and verbal in English.

Able to work 12-hour shifts in fast paced and time-sensitive environment.

Proficiency in computer-based data systems, applications, and Microsoft Office software.

Frequently position oneself (e.g., bend, stoop, reach, walk, sit, twist, squat, kneel, climb, stand) to perform job tasks including: moving parts and equipment weighing up to 35 pounds; operating various hand tools, equipment, and fixtures.

Experience working in a manufacturing environment or in semiconductor capital equipment industry is nice to have.

'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
