Job summary

Emerson is seeking a hands-on assembler to join our manufacturing team in a dynamic, high-mix, low-volume environment. You will assemble actuators, conduct testing, and support packing and labeling while following strict quality standards.

You will collaborate across Production, Planning, Quality, and Shipping to meet daily output and customer needs, maintaining safety and organization on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical assembly and use of hand/power tools.
• Ability to follow assembly instructions and technical manuals.
• Understanding of quality requirements and ability to spot defects.
• Capable of working in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to learn and support production teams.

Responsibilities

• Promptly highlight production bottlenecks, safety concerns, quality issues, or improvement opportunities to the supervisor.
• Perform other production-related duties as assigned based on business requirements.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in mechanical assembly, equipment repair, industrial maintenance, or a related manufacturing environment.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical principles and experience using hand and power tools.
• Ability to understand and follow standardized assembly instructions, work instructions, and technical manuals.
• Basic understanding of quality requirements and the ability to identify defects or deviations from specifications.
• Ability to perform multiple production activities, including assembly, testing, picking, labeling, and packing.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in Bahasa Melayu and English.
• Willingness to work shifts or overtime when required based on business needs.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• Previous experience in mechanical or industrial product assembly.
• Experience working in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with 5S, Lean manufacturing, safety, and quality practices.
• Experience performing product testing, material picking, labeling, or packing in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a production team.
