Job summary

SLB is seeking an assembler in Iskandar Puteri, Johor, Malaysia. You will assemble products and equipment, applying training to meet safety, quality and production standards.

As you progress, additional training will be provided to perform more critical tasks such as pressure testing. Responsibilities include reading routing and drawings, assembling according to procedures, and conducting product testing while ensuring adherence to HSSE policies.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in mechanical discipline.
• 1–2 years assembly experience, or 3–5 years in heavy machinery.
• Familiar with reading routing, drawings and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products and equipment according to routing, drawings and procedures.
• Conduct testing of products and equipment as per procedures.
• Read and understand routing, engineering drawings, BOM, test procedures and work instructions.
• Troubleshoot problems during assembly and testing.
• Comply with health, safety and environment policies.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Complete the training and assessment requirement of the role of Assembler satisfactorily set by the Department
• Read and understand Routing, Engineering Drawings, Bill of Material, Test Procedures and Work Instructions
• Assemble Products and Equipment as according to routing, drawings and procedures
• Conduct Testing of Products and Equipment as according to routing and procedures
• Troubleshoot on problem areas during assembly and testing
• To perform any other related departmental function as necessarily assigned by the Department Manager / Supervisor
• To perform and support the Department Objectives and KPI set by the Management
• Ensure compliance to all health, safety and environment policies
• To adhere to all company and legal requirement as per Johor-WI-A03-Roles, Responsibilities, Accountability and Authority (HSSE) document

Experience

• 1 – 2 years experience in assembly, testing, repairing and servicing of oil and gas equipment in relevant industry or 3 – 5 years experience in heavy machinery industry.

Education

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Mechatronics
