Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
• Experience: 4–6 years in related work experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Supervisory Experience: At least 2 years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers.
• Determine how food should be presented and create decorative displays.
• Monitor quantity of food prepared and maintain stock of kitchen supplies.
• Inform staff of menu specials and out-of-stock items; prepare substitutions.
• Assist cooks and kitchen staff with tasks and provide needed items.
• Maintain kitchen logs for food safety and ensure product quality.
• Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, coaching employees.
• Follow safety policies and protect company assets.
