Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a dedicated kitchen assistant to support daily food preparation in a fast-paced kitchen. You will master basic cooking methods, prepare fresh ingredients according to menu and SOP, and help maintain clean, organized stations.

The role requires at least an SPM or Diploma, up to 1 year of F&B experience, and the ability to work weekends and shifts. You must follow Head Chef directions, uphold food safety and hygiene, and be a reliable team player contributing to consistent

Qualifications

Candidate must possess at least SPM/Diploma in related field.
At least have 1 Year experience in same job role in F&B industry.
Be able to follow directions from the Head chef and be consistent with the food preparation.
Basic knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering top-quality dishes.
Adaptability and the ability to handle a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

Master all basic cooking methods like cutting of ingredients.
Prepare fresh ingredients for cooking according to menu/sop needed for the station daily.
Responsible for proper storage of food preparation and storage area.
Improving your food preparation methods based on feedback.
To perform overall cleaning duty of the kitchen area, all crockery and equipment.
To always maintain food safety standard.
Be familiar with the use of all electrical and mechanical equipment in the kitchen and observe safety precautions when handling them.
To undertake any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Head Chef & Chef De Partie.
