Job description

Job Summary The Asia Project Governance is a key member of the Supplier Engineering group, which is part of Insulet's Supply Chain organization. Insulet manages a global supply chain and sources precision components and commodities from around the world for use in its devices. The Asia Project Governance works closely with peers and leaders in Quality, Sourcing and Manufacturing to plan and implement new capital tooling and equipment at suppliers, execute improvement project management processes across suppliers and support project management training across our global team of project engineers. The ideal candidate has project management experience working with suppliers of custom precision components for use in medical devices. Six Sigma or Lean experience is a plus. The candidate should have a strong quality background and the ability to prioritize day-to-day problems and occurrences. They also will have led teams through project management and governance installations. Built tools to manage projects with significant capital spend, including financial and resource management.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain project portfolios to ensure projects are progressing through the governance process efficiently
• Partner with project engineers, project leads, and leadership to track project status, identify risks, and support timely decision-making.
• Ensure project data is accurate, complete, and up to date across governance tools and reporting systems
• Use Smartsheet and Power BI to track project performance, surface insights, and support leadership visibility.
• Follow up with project leads and cross-functional partners to close data gaps and improve predictability in reporting.
• Drive consistency in how project information is captured, maintained, and communicated across the portfolio.
• Prepare clear portfolio updates, dashboards, and summaries for leadership and stakeholder reviews.
• Identify opportunities to improve the governance process, including workflow changes, reporting enhancements, and stronger portfolio controls.
• Evaluate and recommend tools, automations, or process improvements that reduce manual effort and improve data quality.
• Support the ongoing development and adoption of governance standards, templates, and best practices.
• Train project leads on the governance process, including project intake, stage gate expectations, data entry requirements, reporting cadence, and closeout procedures.
• Provide ongoing coaching and support to project leads to strengthen adoption of governance standards, improve data quality, and ensure consistent use of Smartsheet, Power BI, and related tools.
• Act as a conduit to the global PME Governance team to provide Asia project lead input and share back consistent procedures
• Lead with teamwork and drive for results; able to work in a borderless organization and across multiple functions including, programs, engineering, purchasing and suppliers
• All other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

• BS Engineering Degree (Plastics, Mechanical, Manufacturing/Industrial, Biomedical) or related field
• Training or on the job demonstrated (3 years) development of governance / PM systems and minimum 2 years Direct Project Management experience.
• 4+ years of career experience in Project Management, Operations, Engineering, or related function, preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Outstanding team player who seeks and values diverse input to hone ideas
• Highly motivated, self-starter
• Appreciates the value of timelines and enjoys working in the focused environment that they create

Preferred Skills and Competencies:

• Experience directly managing projects from feasibility through launch (type of project not specific).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills English and Native Laugage.
• Capital and Project Financial acumen.
• Ability to manage Supply Chain projects concept to production, including the authoring and oversight of IQ/OQ/PQ protocols for component manufacturing processes and secondary
• Experience working with a variety of software and data management tools such as Power Apps, Power BI, Smartsheet, Microsoft family of products etc.
• Project Management experience
• Strong follow-through and accountability, with the ability to proactively chase updates, close information gaps, and ensure commitments are met.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to provide clear updates, elevate issues appropriately, and tailor messaging for different audiences.

• Willingness to travel approximately 10% to 25% of the time
