Job summary

Sandoz is seeking a Procurement Manager on a 1-year contract to drive global and regional procurement strategies across Asia cluster markets. You will lead sourcing, supplier management, cost optimization, and compliance while partnering with senior stakeholders to balance local and regional priorities.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in a related field, 4–6 years in procurement, fluency in English and Mandarin, and experience with SAP Ariba or similar tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field.
• CIPS certification and/or Master's degree is advantageous.
• 4–6 years of procurement experience in a multinational, preferably pharma/healthcare/regulatory.
• Fluent English and professional Mandarin required.
• Experience in strategic sourcing, tendering, supplier negotiations, and contract mgmt.
• Indirect procurement experience across marketing, corporate services, technology or professional services.
• Strong commercial/financial/analytical acumen with proven savings and value delivery.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage cross-functional, dispersed teams.
• Excellent communication/negotiation/problem-solving and risk/compliance management.
• Experience with procurement tech and digital sourcing tools including SAP Ariba.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing and procurement across Marketing & Sales, Corporate Services, Technology, and other spend categories.
• Execute global/regional category strategies locally, aligning with business priorities and market needs.
• Develop sourcing strategies, run competitive bids, evaluate proposals, negotiate terms, support supplier selection.
• Deliver measurable value through cost savings, avoidance, demand management, process improvements, risk mitigation.
• Build partnerships with stakeholders and promote early procurement involvement in planning and budgeting.
• Manage supplier relationships including contracts, performance, risk, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with policies, governance standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Leverage analytics and procurement tech to support sourcing decisions and opportunities.
