Job summary

AmBank seeks a senior RPG/AS/400 specialist to enhance and support its Broking System used by AmInvestment Bank. You will work on RPG III/IV components, CL programs, and DB2/400, ensuring system stability across Equities trading interfaces such as eAMS, MAS and AMSMART.

You will lead design decisions, participate in group RPG projects, and support end-of-day processing while adapting to Bursa regulatory changes.

Qualifications

20 years of IT experience in application development and support.
15+ years of RPG development and system integration.
15+ years of experience on the AS/400 (IBM i) platform.
Proficient in DB2/400, CL programs, and job scheduling tools.
Deep understanding of Equity and Derivatives products, margin financing & settlement cycles.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
20 years supporting Broking Application Systems in financial services (advantage).
20 years of domain knowledge in Equities and Derivatives market operations (advantage).

Responsibilities

Support the Broking System, ensuring stability and seamless integration across Broking applications.
Provide day-to-day application support for Equities Trading systems (eAMS, MAS, AMSMART).
Participate in Group-level RPG-based projects and enhance Broking System integration with source systems.
Design, develop, maintain, and modernize RPG components.
Define program architecture, data models, and code structure; make technical decisions.
Support broking operations through code enhancements for trade lifecycle, margins, corporate actions, and fees.
Support end-of-day, end-of-month, and end-of-financial-year batch processing.
Ensure regulatory changes and Bursa rule amendments are implemented.
Join L2/L3 production support with on-call rotation.
