Job summary

Hong Leong Bank is seeking a senior professional to lead Wealth Advisory Branch Distribution, focusing on wealth product销售 and client acquisition. You will mentor Personal Bankers, collaborate with specialist teams, and drive revenue growth across branches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related fields.
• Licenses such as FMUTM, PCE-L, PCE-G, CEILI, TBE & IPPC/CFP are advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years’ working experience, preferably selling fee-based products with a strong track record.
• Excellent commercial acumen, interpersonal and managerial skills.
• Leadership to guide a large diverse team and foster teamwork.
• Ability to make independent decisions with minimal supervision.
• Highly motivated and result-driven.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and coach team members to comply with bank regulations and policies.
• Execute effective business plans to deliver target sets collectively.

• Plan marketing strategies aligned to promote products and services and expand wealth management revenue.
• Recruit and hire Personal Bankers for top branches to grow wealth management; drive revenue growth.
• Collaborate with Head of Wealth Advisory Branch Distribution on growth opportunities through community marketing.

• Work with internal and external stakeholders to build alliances for client acquisition and service opportunities in Wealth Management.
• Coordinate with Investment, Bancassurance & SMF teams to enhance wealth competencies for frontline staff.
• Provide direction to Personal Bankers on wealth sales, compliance and service quality.
• Support the franchise by prioritizing long-term interests over short-term gains.

Job Responsibilities

• Monitor and coach team members which compiles with the regulations, guidelines and policies of the bank.
• Mainly responsible to execute effective business plans to deliver the desired target sets collectively.
• Proactively carry out plans to highlight user-friendly and cost-effective sales & services to the customers.
• Initiate marketing strategies meticulously align to the bank in promoting products and services to expand customers via new & existing channels which includes cross selling with the purpose of generating revenue, mainly on wealth management, for more profitable relationships.
• Recruit and hire the right people to build a team of competent Personal Bankers (especially for the top 150 branches) to grow the wealth management business in branch distribution.
• Plan, strategize and recommend to Head of Wealth Advisory Branch Distribution on opportunity for business growth through community marketing/activities.
• To create an achievable working environment.
• Collaborate strategically with internal (especially Branch Managers) and external key stakeholders to ensure strategic alliances are built to solicit for new client acquisition, client servicing or marketing opportunities in Wealth Management for Branch Banking Distribution.
• Work with Specialist teams (Investment, Bancassurance & SMF) to enhance wealth competencies of to the wealth front-liners of Branch Distribution.
• Provide direction and guidance to Personal Banker on areas pertaining to branch wealth sales achievement, compliance and service quality.
• Responsibility to our franchise – put HLB’s long term interests ahead of each unit’s short-term gains.
• Respect the HLB culture & take an active role in the communities.
• Support the business to achieve goal of providing superior results for our shareholders.

Job Requirements

• A recognized Bachelor Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related fields.
• Those with FMUTM, PCE-L, PCE-G, CEILI, TBE & IPPC/CFP license will have an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years’ working experience preferably in selling fee-based products (Unit trust & Bancassurance products) with a good track record.
• Excellent commercial acumen, interpersonal & managerial skills.
• Leadership skills - able to lead a large diverse team, and foster strong teamwork within.
• Able to make independent decisions with minimal supervision.
• Highly motivated and result-driven.
