Job summary

HICOM-Teck See in Shah Alam, Malaysia seeks a capable APQP Project Lead to oversee end-to-end product quality planning from LOI to handover. You will align commercial and engineering aspects, ensure accurate costing, and submit timely quotations while meeting schedule, cost, and quality targets.

You will coordinate with customers, internal teams and suppliers, translate technical specs into actionable requirements, manage documentation, and support issue resolution during development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in mechanical or process engineering.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in manufacturing environment.
• Skilled in preparing IFQ documents for costing.
• Ability to analyze costs and set pricing strategies.
• Strong communication to engage stakeholders.
• Knowledge of TS16949 standard and customer documentation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead APQP phases and ensure proper compilation of documentation with support from relevant departments.
• Conduct RFQ analysis and prepare IFQ documentation for costing support.
• Plan, execute, coordinate, and monitor project implementation during design and development to meet schedule, cost, and quality.
• Communicate effectively with customers, internal teams and sub-suppliers.
• Review, interpret, and summarize technical specifications and drawings.
• Prepare progress and final reports covering development status and handover to operations.
• Provide support in resolving technical issues arising during project development.
