Job summary

HICOM-Teck See is seeking a proactive Quality Assurance/Quality Control professional in Malaysia to oversee internal and external quality issues and lead a dedicated inspection team. You will drive continuous improvement, manage customer complaints, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.

The role requires a Diploma/Degree in engineering, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and experience interacting with suppliers and customers.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in an Engineering-related field.
• 5+ years of experience for Diploma holders; fresh graduates with an Engineering Degree are encouraged to apply.
• Knowledge of problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5W1H, Why-Why Analysis, and Ishikawa Diagram.
• Strong analytical thinking skills, with a hands‑on approach and creativity in problem‑solving.
• Experience in dealing directly with suppliers and customers.
• Certification as an internal auditor and supplier audits are a plus.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
• Proficiency with quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plan.
• Familiarity with measurement equipment (calipers, height gauges, CMM, gloss meters).

Responsibilities

• Oversee internal and external quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage customer and internal complaints and ensure timely resolution.
• Prepare quality reports on product and process abnormalities.
• Analyze measurement data to identify abnormalities and predict issues.
• Investigate root causes and address customer requirements and expectations.
• Resolve internal and external quality issues and complaints with cross-functional teams.
• Review CPAR reports and evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Verify and confirm non-conforming parts.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, inspection standards, and check sheets.
• Ensure inspections and testing align with customer requirements and QMS.
