Job summary

Lynas Rare Earths is seeking an Application Support Analyst on a 1-year contract to maintain and enhance our enterprise application portfolio, ensuring reliable, secure and integrated business systems. You will contribute to digital transformation, governance and end-user support across multiple functions.

The role requires a degree in information systems or software engineering and at least 5 years’ experience in enterprise app support, with knowledge of LIMS/ERP, SQL, APIs, and ITIL practices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5 years’ working experience in enterprise application support.
• Experience with LIMS, ERP, Microsoft 365, SharePoint or Power Platform is an advantage.
• Knowledge of SQL, databases, APIs, and system integrations.
• Knowledge of ITIL practices; experience in manufacturing, mining, or laboratory environments is an advantage.
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Willing to work in Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support and maintenance for business applications to ensure reliable and uninterrupted business operations.
• Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate timely resolution with business users, internal IT teams, and software vendors.
• Support business users across departments including Laboratory, Manufacturing, Mining, Finance, HR, HSE, Procurement, and Supply Chain.
• Perform routine application administration activities such as user access management, master data maintenance, reporting, workflow configuration, and system parameter updates where applicable.
• Assist in application enhancements, upgrades, patches, testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), deployment, and post-implementation support.
• Prepare system documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), knowledge base articles, and user guides.
• Provide end-user training and support to promote effective system utilisation and user adoption.
• Support application governance activities including software licensing, vendor coordination, and change management.

Application Support Analyst (1-year Contract)

An opportunity exists for 1 Application Support Analyst to join our IT Department.

He/she will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing Lynas's enterprise application portfolio to ensure business systems are reliable, secure, integrated, and aligned with operational and business requirements.

The role supports enterprise applications across multiple business functions and contributes to system enhancements, digital transformation initiatives, and continuous improvement.

Requirements of the successful candidate:

• Degree in Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related discipline with 5 years’ working experience in enterprise application support, business systems, or application administration.
• Experience with LIMS, ERP, Microsoft 365, SharePoint or Power Platform is an advantage.
• Knowledge of SQL, databases, APIs, and system integrations.
• Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITIL) practices and experience in manufacturing, mining, laboratory, or other industrial environments will be an advantage.
• Positive working attitude toward responsibility and task given.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills to confidently interact with people of all cultures at all levels.
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English. Additional language will be an advantage.
• Must be willing to work in Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia.
