Job summary

Nestlé S.A. in Malaysia seeks an Application Group Executive to develop and implement technical standards for innovations and renovations in portfolio to meet business needs. The role focuses on ensuring new product development procedures are followed and packaging/product innovations are effectively managed.

The role requires 4-5 years in manufacturing/R&D within the food industry, with strong project management skills and a track record of cross-functional collaboration to deliver results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related science.
• 4-5 years experience in manufacturing / R&D role in food business.
• Project management capability with multiple areas competing for resources.
• Proven track record delivering results with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure implementation of new product development procedures and guidelines.
• Manage product, process and packaging innovations for the factory.
• Ensure product compliance by design (quality, food safety & regulatory) and drive change management from NPD.
• Assist in managing product development to meet 60/40+ as defined by BU in the brief and manage technical releases.
• Maintain technical standards in products and processes for all portfolio items.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing on troubleshooting and improvement initiatives.
• Drive alternatives in raw and packaging materials.
• Update documents in Product Files for innovation and renovation activities and manage recipes in GREAT (SAP-RM).
• Maintain data in GLOBE (ROH, ZPCK, HALB and BOM).

A day in the life of...

• Ensure the implementation of new products development procedures and guidelines.
• Responsible to manage product, process and packaging innovations for the factory.
• Ensure product compliance by design (quality, food safety & regulatory) and help drive change management resulting from New Product Development innovations in factory.
• Assist in managing product development to meet 60/40+ as defined by Business Unit in the brief and responsible to manage technical releases for the factory.
• Assist to achieve and maintain required technical standards in products (formula & packaging) & processes for all the products in portfolio.
• Ensure to provide technical support to manufacturing on troubleshooting and improvement initiatives.
• Help drive alternative raw and packaging materials initiatives.
• Responsible for updating of documents in Product Files for innovation and renovation activities and management of recipes in GREAT (SAP-RM).
• Responsible for maintenance of data in GLOBE (ROH, ZPCK, HALB and BOM)

What Will Make You Successful,

• Had an academic experienced in Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and relevant Science fields as minimum.
• Had 4-5 years experience in manufacturing / R&D role in food business.
• Has the capability in project management and project portfolio in several areas competing for resource.
• Proven track record in delivering results by working with cross-functional teams.
