Job summary

SMC Automation (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. in Johor Bahru seeks an Application Engineer to support presales, develop AutoCAD drawings and assemble systems for customers across industries.

You will train customers, provide application knowledge to the sales team, and assist with after-sales support, with emphasis on Mandarin-speaking clients where needed. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, and English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience; fresh graduates encouraged to apply.
• Knowledge of part applications and PLC programming.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with technical support services for air dryers.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• Mandarin fluency preferred for Mandarin-speaking clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead system presales discussions with clients.
• Create detailed AutoCAD drawings for system designs.
• Assemble systems and ensure proper functionality.
• Provide application knowledge support to sales staff and customers.
• Conduct product training sessions for customers.
• Assist with quality-related inquiries and matters.
