Job summary

OCBC e2 Power Sdn Bhd in Cyberjaya is seeking an Application Support Engineer to provide support and enhancements for banking applications. You will perform Level 2 and 3 production support, conduct root cause analysis, and implement fixes while understanding system design to assess impact of changes.

The role requires cross-functional collaboration, strong communication, and ability to work with cross-border colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience in application support and enhancement for banking applications.
• Experience in L2/L3 production support and incident management.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement fixes.
• Understanding of system design and impact analysis.
• Experience with Java or .NET applications on relevant platforms.
• Knowledge of Linux/UNIX or Windows Server environments.
• Familiarity with MS SQL or Oracle databases.
• Banking IT environment knowledge is a plus.

• Provide application support and enhancement for applications used in the bank.
• Perform Level 2 and 3 of production support.
• Perform problem investigation – problem identification, root cause analysis, solution definition, development, and implementation.
• Understand the system design and provide impact analysis to any changes.
• Perform enhancement and defect fixing at code level.
• Manage system risks and conjure improvements to mitigate and manage risks.
• Work closely with users to understand their needs & issues.

• Applications based on Java technology and WebLogic/ Websphere/ JBoss.
• Applications based on .NET technology and Microsoft IIS Platform.
• Knowledge on Linux/ UNIX OR Windows Server.
• Database knowledge on MS SQL OR Oracle database.
• Knowledge in Banking IT environment will be a plus.

• 24 x 7 offsite standby support on rotational basis.

• Minimum 3 years of working experience in the same capacity.
• Pleasant personality with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive and team player.
• Able to work with cross border colleagues.
