Job summary

OCBC Group Malaysia is seeking an Application Technical Support professional to provide ongoing support and enhancements for banking applications. You will handle Level 2/3 production support, investigate issues, and implement robust solutions across Java/WebLogic or .NET IIS environments.

Role requires 3+ years of experience, Linux/UNIX or Windows Server knowledge, and SQL/Oracle database familiarity. A willingness to be on standby 24x7 and strong collaboration with cross-border teams is

Qualifications

• Application Technical Support on Java-based apps with WebLogic/WebSphere/JBoss OR .NET on IIS.
• Knowledge of Linux/UNIX or Windows Server.
• Database knowledge on MS SQL or Oracle.
• Nice to have banking IT environment exposure.
• Willingness for 24x7 offsite standby on rotation.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar capacity.
• Pleasant personality with good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide application support and enhancement for bank applications.
• Perform Level 2 and 3 production support.
• Investigate problems, identify root cause, define solutions, develop and implement.
• Understand system design and assess impact of changes.
• Perform code-level enhancements and defect fixes.
• Manage system risks and propose improvements.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide application support and enhancement for applications used in the bank.
• Perform Level 2 and 3 of production support
• Perform problem investigation – problem identification, root cause analysis, solution definition, development, and implementation.
• Understand the system design and provide impact analysis to any changes.
• Perform enhancement and defect fixing at code level.
• Manage system risks and conjure improvements to mitigate and manage risks
• Work closely with users to understand their needs & issues.

Job Requirements

• Application Technical Support on either of the following: Applications based on Java technology and WebLogic/ Websphere/ JBoss OR Applications based on .NET technology and Microsoft IIS Platform
• Knowledge on Linux/ UNIX OR Windows Server
• Database knowledge on MS SQL OR Oracle database
• Knowledge in Banking IT environment will be a plus.
• 24 x 7 offsite standby support on rotational basis.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in the same capacity.
• Pleasant personality with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive and team player.
• Able to work with cross border colleagues.
