Job summary

Roche in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to provide first-line technical problem solving for diagnostics and lab systems across the Asia-Pacific region.

You will diagnose complex instrument and workflow issues, drive digital adoption, and operate from a 24/7 rotating shift in a multinational, intercultural environment. A Biomedical/Electrical Engineering background and 3+ years in medical tech are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Medical Technology, or equivalent technical qualification.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in medical technology, electrical engineering systems maintenance, or laboratory operations.
• Strong working knowledge of medical analysis systems, robotics, mechanics and IT network interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical support to healthcare providers via multiple channels, diagnosing and resolving complex issues.
• Act as Local Case Handler to identify product quality issues and perform root-cause troubleshooting.
• Onboard and guide laboratory customers in adopting digital support platforms and remote tools.
• Utilize onsite lab to simulate customer environments and validate instrument performance.
• Create self-fix materials and support software/hardware updates through knowledge management tools.
• Collaborate in regional projects to improve service delivery and customer trust.
