You will work closely with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders, driving commercially practical solutions across multiple APAC jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and negotiate complex agreements, including EPC/EPCM, design-build, construction management, consulting, procurement, and supply contracts.
  • Advise on project risks and strategy, including delay exposure, change orders, performance security, defects/warranty, and dispute avoidance/resolution.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to structure tenders, manage risk, and develop contracting templates and playbooks.
  • Support regional project development matters, including land, permitting, and regulatory coordination with local counsel.
  • Manage external counsel across APAC, ensuring pragmatic, high-quality advice aligned to business objectives.
  • Track legal/regulatory developments and translate them into practical guidance for project teams.
Qualifications
  • Qualified lawyer (8+ years) with strong experience in construction, infrastructure, or major capital projects (EPC/EPCM preferred) and ability to support cross-border APAC matters.
  • Proven track record advising on complex industrial or technical projects, with hands‑on experience in live‑project issues such as delays, claims, variations, and disputes.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and commercial judgment, with the ability to deliver pragmatic advice to diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with FIDIC or equivalent frameworks, including security of payment/adjudication regimes and broader APAC construction law practices.
Success Looks Like
  • Projects move faster with early, practical legal input.
  • Contracts are commercially aligned to real project risks.
  • Trusted partner to engineering, procurement, and project leadership teams.
  • Improved consistency and efficiency of contracting across APAC.
  • Risks identified early and addressed before escalation.
