APAC Sales & Business Development Manager
Build the market. Strengthen the network. Convert industrial opportunities.
Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with frequent travel across APAC
Reports to: Managing Director
Employment: Full-time
The role: Develop and convert profitable new and retrofit opportunities across the APAC region by managing key accounts, agents and representatives, and coordinating the commercial process with the Managing Director and Project Managers from early opportunity identification through to award.
About us
Beaudrey designs, manufactures and supplies engineered water-screening, intake equipment and condenser protection systems. Our products serve demanding applications in power generation, desalination, oil and gas, water treatment and other industrial sectors. We combine specialist engineering, project execution and long‑term customer support across international markets.
Your mandate
You will own the commercial development of the APAC region: identifying projects early, building relationships with decision‑makers, developing the agent and representative network, qualifying opportunities, coordinating proposals and driving disciplined follow‑up.
What you will do
Develop a qualified pipeline of new and retrofit opportunities across APAC in line with the company's sales objectives.
Build and maintain senior relationships with end users, owners, consultants, EPC contractors, partners, agents and representatives.
Identify projects before formal RFQs are issued and position the company, its technology and its value proposition appropriately.
Organise, guide and evaluate agents and representatives, with clear territory priorities, opportunity plans and performance expectations.
Qualify leads and RFQs commercially, gather the minimum information required and prepare clear bid/no‑bid recommendations.
Coordinate with Project Managers, who prepare the technical and commercial proposals and provide technical support during client discussions.
Ensure proposals are commercially well positioned, submitted on time and followed up with a defined next action.
Lead commercial discussions and negotiations within delegated authority, escalating pricing, contractual and risk decisions when required.
Maintain accurate opportunity, account and contact information in approved company systems.
Provide reliable forecasts, market intelligence, competitor insight and concise commercial reporting to the Managing Director.
What we are looking for
Proven success in B2B sales or business development for engineered equipment, technical systems or complex industrial projects.
Substantial APAC market experience, including long sales cycles and multi‑stakeholder decision processes.
Experience working with end users, consultants, EPC contractors, agents and representatives.
Commercial confidence in opportunity qualification, proposal positioning, follow‑up and negotiation.
Enough technical understanding and curiosity to represent industrial equipment credibly and coordinate effectively with engineers.
Excellent spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Strong personal organisation, CRM discipline and willingness to use the company’s software (e.g., Trello).
Willingness and ability to travel frequently across the APAC region and occasionally elsewhere.
Particularly relevant experience
Water‑intake or water‑screening equipment, water treatment, pumps, valves or adjacent technologies.
Power generation, desalination, oil and gas, industrial water or major infrastructure projects.
Mechanical, process, environmental or related engineering education, or equivalent technical‑commercial experience.
Managing and improving the performance of distributors, agents or representatives across several APAC territories.
What success will look like
A visible, well‑qualified and actively managed APAC pipeline.
Stronger relationships and earlier involvement in strategic projects.
Agents and representatives working to clear expectations and contributing measurable opportunities.
Proposals issued and followed up with discipline, with risks escalated early.
Forecasts and commercial records that management can trust.
