Zusammenfassung

Penguin Solutions seeks an experienced Regional Legal Counsel, APAC Commercial, based in Penang, Malaysia. You will lead commercial contracting across APAC, advise regional sales and leaders, and coordinate with the global Legal team to support AI infrastructure and neocloud initiatives.

You will manage complex transactions, build cross-functional partnerships, and advance scalable legal processes with focus on AI-enabled workflows and risk management.

Qualifikationen

• Law degree (LL.B., JD, or equivalent) from a recognized university.
• 7-10 years of relevant legal experience, with significant commercial contracting experience.
• Experience independently drafting and negotiating customer, vendor, services, or procurement agreements.
• Experience supporting AI, data center, technology, manufacturing, hardware, or supply-chain-driven businesses.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proven ability to provide practical, commercially oriented legal advice directly to senior business leaders.
• Excellent judgment with a bias toward resolving matters while escalating when warranted by risk or strategic significance.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• Ability to work effectively across countries, cultures, and time zones.
• Demonstrated interest in using AI and legal technology to improve service delivery.

Aufgaben

• APAC Commercial Contracting: lead drafting, review, and negotiation of customer, NDA, vendor, services, procurement, and manufacturing agreements.
• Provide practical guidance on terms and risk; refine templates and playbooks with regional experience.
• Collaborate on the largest strategic neocloud transactions, contributing to strategy and risk assessment.
• Ensure real-time coverage across APAC time zones and maintain deal momentum.
