Job summary

Penguin Solutions in Penang, Malaysia, seeks a Regional Legal Counsel, APAC Commercial to lead the regional commercial legal function. You will partner with regional sales and leaders, draft and negotiate a broad range of agreements, and align with Penguin's global legal strategy across the APAC region.

You will work with a dynamic team supporting AI infrastructure, neocloud, and memory technology, driving scalable legal processes and AI-enabled workflows.

Qualifications

• Law degree from a recognized university.
• 7–10 years of relevant legal experience in commercial contracting.
• Experience drafting and negotiating customer, vendor, services, procurement, or other commercial agreements, including complex or high‑value transactions.
• Experience supporting AI, data center, technology, manufacturing, hardware, infrastructure, or supply‑chain businesses.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead APAC Commercial Contracting: drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements (customer sales, NDAs, vendor, procurement, services, manufacturing).
• Manage regional matters from request to execution, refine templates and playbooks, and guide risk decisions.
• Collaborate with Global Legal to align on large neocloud transactions and deal strategy across APAC.
• Provide practical legal guidance to regional business leaders and coordinate across time zones and stakeholders.
• Help improve contracting processes, templates, and AI-enabled workflows with the Legal team.
