Job summary

GEA is seeking an Information Security Officer APAC to implement global security standards across Asia-Pacific from the regional hub in Shah Alam. You will liaise with CISOs, lead regional security initiatives, and ensure regulatory compliance across multiple markets.

In this role, you will drive risk-based security programs, coordinate audits, and manage security incidents within the APAC region, collaborating with IT, legal, and business partners to safeguard assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Information Security / Cybersecurity, Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science or related technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Implements the global information security requirements and specifies/expands them based on regional information security requirements without contradicting the global requirements.
• Serves as the CISO’s first contact regarding all security topics within the APAC region.
• Implements global security and business continuity requirements and aligns them with regional needs.
• Assesses region-specific security and business continuity requirements and coordinates security demands.
• Identifies new security and business continuity needs within the region and trends/risks.
• Addresses legal and customer security requirements within the region.
• Supports ISMS and business continuity standards within the region.
• Manages information assets and security risks at regional level.
• Coordinates or performs Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and supports BC Plans.
• Establishes relationships with regional leadership and stakeholders to advance security objectives.
• Collaborates with asset owners to ensure controls are implemented and reported.
• Performs security and business continuity reviews and audits within the region.
• Mentors Local Information Security Officers (LISOs) and participates in incident handling.
