Job summary

GEA Group in Malaysia seeks an Information Security Officer APAC to implement and expand global information security requirements within the region, coordinating with the CISO and regional leadership to safeguard information assets and ensure continuity across markets.

The role requires 5+ years in security leadership, strong knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, IEC 62443, ISO 22301, and cloud security (Azure). You will lead governance, risk assessments, incidents, and audits across APAC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or master’s degree in Information Security / Cybersecurity, Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related technical discipline
• IT (Security) Certifications advantageous (e.g. ITIL, COBIT, CISA)

Responsibilities

• Implements global security requirements and expands them regionally without contradicting global standards.
• Assesses regional security and business continuity needs, coordinates BIA/BCP testing, and reports to regional leadership.
• Performs security and business continuity reviews and audits within the region and manages security incidents.
