Job summary

Zurich Insurance Malaysia is seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to join our technology team in Kuala Lumpur. You will bridge development and operations, ensuring seamless deployment and maintenance of applications across the APAC region.

You will design and optimize CI/CD pipelines, manage cloud and container environments, and implement security best practices while collaborating with cross-functional teams. A strong automation mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in CS/IT or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in a DevOps or similar infrastructure role.
• Strong proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Solid experience with containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Expertise with IaC tools (Terraform/CloudFormation/Ansible).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins/GitLab/GitHub Actions).
• Scripting skills in Python/Bash/Go for automation.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix administration and networking concepts.
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus/ELK/Splunk).
• Understanding of databases and backup/recovery strategies.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery.
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure and containerised environments for high availability.
• Collaborate with development teams to streamline deployment workflows and reduce time-to-market.
• Monitor system performance, security, and reliability with proactive measures against outages.
• Develop and maintain IaC to standardise automated provisioning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues for teams.
• Implement and manage security best practices including access controls and encryption.
• Document systems and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and consistency.
• Collaborate with APAC teams to ensure consistent deployment standards.
