Job summary

Vantage Data Centers in Malaysia seeks a Senior Manager, Commercial to lead commercial management across multiple projects in APAC, balancing cost, schedule and quality. Reporting to the Director, Commercial APAC, you will oversee budgeting, forecasting, procurement, contract administration and risk management, driving value with stakeholders and delivery teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
• 8 years’ experience in commercial / cost management within construction or mission-critical sectors.
• Proven experience managing multiple projects or large-scale programs.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong expertise in cost control and financial planning.
• Strong expertise in contract administration, including FIDIC, NEC, or local forms of contract.
• Strong expertise in procurement and supply chain management.
• Experience in APAC markets preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial oversight across multiple projects or a major campus, ensuring alignment with budget, forecast, and financial targets.
• Oversee all contractual and commercial activities across project lifecycles, including procurement, contract administration, variations, and close-out.
• Evaluate contractual risks and obligations, ensuring compliant, commercially sound outcomes that protect the business and drive value.
• Drive continuous improvement in commercial processes, tools, and reporting.
• Identify inefficiencies and implement practical enhancements in collaboration with project delivery, legal, and functional stakeholders to improve consistency and performance.
• Support and lead commercial activities across projects in the specific market, applying knowledge of local market conditions, regulatory requirements, and standard forms of contract.
