Mastercare Centre in Johor Bahru District is seeking an Ambulance Driver to join our Nursing Home team. You will transport residents to medical facilities, assist with patient transfers, and maintain ambulance readiness to ensure safe, timely care.

We value calm under pressure, strong communication, and reliability. Fluency in English and Malay is advantageous, with a valid PSV/GDL license and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Valid professional driving license with GDL/PSV and clean driving record.
• Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy loads, including patients and medical equipment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to stay calm, focused and compassionate in emergencies.
• Knowledge of local geography and road networks in Johor Bahru District.
• Reliability, punctuality and commitment to patient care and safety.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents/patients to hospitals, clinics, and medical appointments.
• Assist nursing staff and caregivers during patient transfers when required.
• Ensure safe handling and transfer of residents, especially elderly and mobility-limited patients.
• Maintain cleanliness and basic readiness of the ambulance.
• Conduct basic checks on the ambulance, including fuel, tyres, lights, and equipment.
• Follow traffic rules, safety procedures, and company guidelines.
• Respond promptly to transportation requests and emergencies when required.
• Maintain proper records of ambulance trips and mileage.
• Report any vehicle issues or maintenance requirements to management.
• Perform other duties related to patient transportation as assigned.

You will be responsible for operating ambulances safely, assisting with resident care, and ensuring that resident reach medical facilities promptly and in stable condition.

What we're looking for

• Reliability, punctuality and commitment to patient care and safety
• Previous experience as an ambulance driver or in emergency medical services is preferred
• Fluency in English and Malay is advantageous
