Responsibilities

• Check all vehicles daily and dispose of FOD.
• Conduct visual and cleanliness inspections of airside vehicles (exterior, interior, fluids).
• Log and report irregularities to the officer in charge immediately for action.
• Ensure vehicles are serviced per the service manual."
• Maintain logs for vehicle mileage, fuel dispenses, lubricating oil, and other items.
• Document faults in duplicates for workshop and follow-up.
• Notify the officer in charge if faults persist for more than 7 days.
• Activate all 8 sweepers daily.
• Sweep apron, taxiways and aircraft maneuvering area daily (refer to airfield program).
• Dispose of debris from sweepers daily and wash them.
• Dispose of debris from newly paved areas containing bitumen to prevent hardening.
