Job summary

SEFAR FABRICATION (M) SDN BHD is seeking an experienced AI Solution Engineer to join our team in Johor. You will design, build and deploy AI-driven applications using Google Gemini Enterprise to solve business problems across our industrial operations.

You will work with stakeholders to translate needs into scalable AI solutions, integrate with data sources, and produce clear technical documentation. Proficiency in Python, GCP, and AI APIs is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in a technical field as stated.
• Hands-on experience in similar roles such as Application Developer, AI Engineer, or ML Engineer.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
• Strong Python programming and practical Google Cloud Platform experience.
• Experience with Gemini or other LLMs and their APIs.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced AI Solution Engineer to join our dynamic team at SEFAR FABRICATION (M) SDN BHD'. As an AI Solution Engineer, your mission is to leverage our corporate AI platform (Google Gemini Enterprise) to design, build and deploy intelligent applications. You will be instrumental in translating business needs into functional AI solutions that create tangible value and drive innovation across our global industrial operations. This is a full-time position based in Taman Desa Cemerlang Johor.

What you'll be doing

• Design, build, test and deploy robust and scalable AI-driven applications based on the defined use case backlog provided by the AI Owner
• Work closely with business units and stakeholders to understand their processes and challenges, providing technical expertise to help shape and refine AI use cases
• Platform Expertise: Develop deep, hands-on expertise with Google Gemini Enterprise and the broader Google Cloud AI ecosystem, applying its capabilities to solve complex problems
• Experience working with Generative AI platforms (e.g., Gemini, OpenAI, Azure OpenAI) and implementing AI-powered applications is highly desirable
• Implement prototypes and production-ready solutions, focusing on clean, efficient and maintainable code
• Design and build integrations to connect AI applications with existing company data sources and systems as required for each project
• Create clear technical documentation for all developed solutions and contribute to our internal knowledge base to ensure long-term maintainability

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field
• Proven hands-on experience in a similar role such as an Application Developer, AI Engineer, or Machine Learning Engineer
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory
• Strong programming skills in Python and extensive, practical experience building solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Demonstrable experience building applications using Google Gemini or other large language models (LLMs) and their associated APIs
• Experience working within an industrial or manufacturing company and an understanding of its typical processes
• Strong understanding of software development principles, including agile methodologies, version control (e.g., Git) and testing
• Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures and vector databases is a significant plus
• Familiarity with other major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus
