Job summary

TP is seeking a motivated intern to join the AI team in Penang, Malaysia. You will assist in developing and evaluating AI solutions, perform data prep and basic analysis, and help test tools and models.

This internship offers hands-on exposure to Generative AI, ML, automation, and emerging technologies while collaborating with stakeholders. Ideal candidates are pursuing relevant degrees, available ASAP for a 6-month full-time placement, and eager to learn.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• ASAP availability strongly preferred.
• Full-time 6-month internship commitment.
• Basic understanding of AI, ML, Generative AI, or data analytics.
• Basic programming knowledge (Python) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Curious about emerging technologies and willing to learn.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support the AI team in developing and implementing AI projects and solutions.
• Assist with research and evaluation of Generative AI, Machine Learning, automation, and emerging AI technologies.
• Support data preparation, cleaning, organization, and basic analysis for AI projects.
• Assist in testing and evaluating AI tools, models, and applications.
• Conduct research on AI use cases and identify opportunities to improve business processes through AI.
• Assist in developing prototypes, proof-of-concepts, and automation solutions.
• Support documentation of AI projects, processes, testing results, and findings.
• Work with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into potential AI solutions.
• Assist with troubleshooting and improving AI solutions based on testing and feedback.
• Keep up to date with emerging AI technologies and industry developments.
• Perform ad-hoc AI and technology-related projects as assigned.
