Job summary

MetLife is seeking an AI Engineer (SDET) in Kuala Lumpur to deliver high-quality software in an Agile environment. You will lead test automation using AI agents, leverage GitHub Copilot Agent Mode and the Microsoft AI Foundry stack to build AI agents for automated testing, and design AI evals to measure performance and reliability.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of automation testing experience with AI, strong scripting skills (Java/Python), and familiarity with BDD and modern automation

Qualifications

• 3+ years in automation testing with AI in high-tech or regulated industries.
• Hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot on GitHub Enterprise.
• Experience building and running AI evaluation frameworks.
• Develop automation testing practices with modern technology stacks.
• Strong scripting in Java, Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Exposure to Behavior Driven Development (BDD).
• Continuous learning mindset and proactive skill growth.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and scale testing capabilities using AI agents and Copilot Agent Mode to automate testing tasks.
• Develop and run AI evaluation frameworks to measure AI agents and Gen-AI-assisted testing workflows.
• Write efficient test automation code following coding standards.
• Validate application functionality through test strategies, automation frameworks, tools, and dashboards.
• Participate in planning and documentation of test strategies and acceptance criteria.
• Participate in test execution (automated and manual) including new builds and regression.
• Maintain automation scripts and perform peer reviews of the automation codebase.
• Analyze and repair broken test cases and failures.
• Investigate, diagnose, and repair complex problems and bug reports.
• Adopt Agile ways of working in the software delivery lifecycle.
