Job summary

MetLife is seeking an experienced SDET who can also function as an AI Engineer to drive digital and AI transformation. You will deliver high-quality software in Agile sprints, harness Gen-AI toolsets to accelerate releases, and build AI agents to automate testing with robust evaluation methods.

The role requires 3+ years in automation testing with AI, strong coding skills in Java/Python/Bash/PowerShell, and hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot Agent Mode on GitHub Enterprise and the Microsoft

Qualifications

• 3+ years in automation testing with AI in regulated industries.
• Hands-on with GitHub Copilot (Agent Mode) on GitHub Enterprise.
• Experience building automation testing practices with modern technology stacks.
• Strong coding in Java, Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• AI Engineering: design agent prompts and evaluate AI agents.
• Experience with BDD is a plus.
• Willingness to continuously learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale testing capabilities using AI agents to automate testing tasks.
• Develop and run AI evaluation frameworks and metrics to measure AI agents’ performance.
• Write efficient automation code following coding standards and best practices.
• Validate application functionality through test strategies, automation frameworks, tools, and dashboards.
• Plan and document test strategies and acceptance criteria based on customer needs.
• Execute automated and manual tests, analyze reports, troubleshoot failures, and drive fixes.
• Maintain automation scripts and conduct peer reviews of automation codebase.
• Investigate, diagnose, and repair broken test cases and failures.
• Adopt Agile practices across the software delivery lifecycle.
