Michael Page is partnering with a well‑established global industrial technology organisation undergoing a digital transformation to hire an AI Engineer. You will design, build, and deploy production‑ready AI agents and multi‑agent workflows using modern orchestration frameworks.

Responsibilities include memory systems design, tool integrations, and retrieval‑augmented generation, plus building evaluation, observability, and governance practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience with Python.
• At least 1 year building and deploying LLM-based apps, agents, or RAG in production.
• Experience with agent orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, Microsoft Agent Framework).
• Strong knowledge of AI memory architectures, vector stores, and retrieval systems.
• Experience with REST APIs, FastAPI, Docker, and cloud-native development.

Job description

• Design, develop, and deploy production-ready AI agents using modern agent orchestration frameworks.
• Build and optimise multi-agent architectures, tool integrations, and advanced reasoning workflows.
• Design agent memory systems, including session-based memory, long-term memory, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures.
• Develop evaluation, testing, monitoring, and observability frameworks to ensure performance and reliability.
• Implement prompt engineering best practices, prompt version control, and testing methodologies.
• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise Azure, Databricks, API, and cloud environments.
• Support the development of emerging AgentOps practices, including governance, monitoring, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders and act as a technical advisor while mentoring team members as the AI function grows.
• Stay updated on emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and industry best practices.

A successful AI Engineer should have:

• Minimum 3 years of professional software engineering experience with Python.
