Job summary

Dassault Systèmes Innovation Technologies Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. in Kuala Lumpur seeks an AI Engineer to architect intelligent systems, shape model behavior, and ensure safety and reliability at scale.

You will design prompts, build agentic workflows with tool calling, and collaborate with product owners, developers, QA, and UX designers to deliver a Virtual Companion for Planning & Optimization. Strong Python skills and LLM API experience are required, with exposure to LangChain or similar

We are building a virtual companion for Operation Planning & Optimization applications that can reason, retrieve, and act autonomously. Powered by large language models (LLMs) and agentic workflows, the product will redefine how our customers interact with complex planning data. As an AI Engineer you will architect the intelligence, shape model behavior, and ensure safety and reliability at scale.

Role Responsibilities & Job Description:

• Model & Prompt Engineering: Design, test, and iterate prompts that improve reasoning, factuality, and user experience.
• Agentic AI Frameworks: Build, manage and orchestrate agentic workflows involving tool calling, reasoning loops, memory management, skills orchestration, and multi-step task execution.
• AI Safety & Reliability: Implement guardrails, monitoring, and validation mechanisms to ensure AI systems remain safe, reliable, and ethically grounded.
• Collaboration & Delivery: Work with Product Owner, Developers, Quality Engineers and UX Designers to deliver the Virtual Companion. Contribute to sprint planning, code reviews and documentation.
  

Requirements & Qualifications:

Technical Requirements:

• AI/ML Literacy: A strong grasp of LLM fundamentals, including tokens, temperature, top-p, and context windows.
• Prompt Engineering & Evaluation: Design, optimize, and evaluate prompts to improve AI behavior, reasoning, and response quality.
• Programming: Proficiency in Python.
• LLM API Integration: Hands‑on with Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar
• Agentic AI Frameworks: Hands-on experience working with agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph involving tool calling, reasoning loops, memory management, skills orchestration, and multi-step task execution.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or above, with 3-5 years in software development and relevant experience specifically within the AI/ML development landscape.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent people skills with collaborative attitude, team player
• Clear written & verbal English; ability to explain technical concepts to non technical stakeholders.
• A proactive mindset toward identifying "edge case" behaviors in generative models.
