EY's Kuala Lumpur office is seeking an experienced Manager (Data Science & AI) to lead delivery of advanced analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and Generative AI solutions for clients across industries. You will work with business stakeholders, data engineers, and technology teams to solve complex problems and drive AI-driven transformation.

We seek individuals with 6+ years of experience, a strong Python background, and hands-on ML development skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, AI, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 6+ years of experience in Data Science, ML, AI, or Advanced Analytics.
• Hands-on experience in ML model development, evaluation, deployment and monitoring.

EY's AI & Data team is looking for an experienced Manager (Data Science & AI) to help organizations unlock value from data and accelerate AI-driven transformation. As part of our Technology Consulting practice, you will lead the delivery of advanced analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence (AI), and Generative AI (GenAI) solutions for clients across various industries.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, architects, and technology teams to solve complex business problems through innovative AI and data science approaches. This role provides the opportunity to combine technical expertise, client engagement, and team leadership while shaping the future of intelligent enterprises.

We are seeking individuals who are passionate about solving complex business challenges through Data Science, Machine Learning and Generative AI technologies. This is a full-time role based in our Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the delivery of end-to-end AI and data science engagements, from problem definition and solution design through deployment and adoption.
• Collaborate with clients and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI, machine learning, predictive analytics, and Generative AI solutions.
• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and AI solutions that address business challenges and generate measurable value.
• Lead the development of Generative AI applications leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) for use cases such as intelligent search, document understanding, virtual assistants, content generation, and knowledge management.
• Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, vector search, and AI agent solutions.
• Provide guidance on AI governance, responsible AI, model risk management, and ethical AI practices.
• Work closely with Data Engineering and Cloud teams to operationalize AI solutions through scalable architecture and deployment pipelines.
• Manage project teams, mentor junior team members, and contribute to capability development across the AI & Data practice.
• Present findings, insights, and recommendations to both technical and executive-level stakeholders.
• Support business development activities, proposal preparation, solutioning workshops, and client pursuits.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 6+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Advanced Analytics.
• Proven experience leading AI and data science projects from strategy through implementation.Hands-on experience in machine learning model development, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Experience delivering client-facing engagements, including stakeholder management and project leadership.
• Strong proficiency in Python and common AI/ML libraries such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Hugging Face.
• Experience with Generative AI technologies, including LLMs and foundation models.

• Prior consulting or professional services experience.
• Experience leading teams and mentoring junior professionals.
