Job summary

TNG Digital in Malaysia is building AI-powered automation and data workflows for payments and financial services. You’ll own end-to-end delivery from prototyping to production, focusing on practical business outcomes.

The role emphasizes LLM integration, anomaly and fraud detection, and expanding products with reusable components. You’ll collaborate with business, product, and operations to translate needs into robust, auditable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 2–4 years in software engineering, automation, data engineering, AI/ML, or related role.
• Hands-on experience building automation pipelines or AI-powered applications in production.
• Experience with LLMs, prompts, RAG, and evaluation.
• Familiarity with APIs, data pipelines, and system integrations.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, CI/CD, IaC, containers, and production monitoring is a plus.
• Experience in document processing, OCR, or data extraction is advantageous.
• Exposure to fintech, risk, or regulated environments is useful.
• Understanding of LLM patterns like embeddings, vector databases, and retrieval.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI-powered automation solutions across workflow automation and decision support.
• Integrate LLM capabilities into production applications and evaluate models and architectures.
• Develop automated checks for anomaly and fraud detection and improve controls.
• Support expansion into new products and reuse components across implementations.
• Work with modern AI tooling and experiment with new approaches for production readiness.
• Own features end-to-end from prototyping to deployment and monitoring.
• Improve solution reliability, accuracy, and automation rates post go-live.
• Contribute to engineering practices around reliability, security, and auditability.
• Collaborate with business, product, operations, and tech stakeholders to translate problems into solutions.
